نبذة

Hi! I’m Ranad, a BA (Hons) Architecture student at the University of Portsmouth.

I graduated from Rawabi Private School in 2023 and moved to the UK to continue my studies. I completed an English language course at INTO Belfast, followed by a Foundation Year in Architecture, before joining the University of Portsmouth. I have now completed my first and second years of my Architecture degree.

Moving abroad and studying in the UK has taught me a lot, both academically and personally. I’ve experienced the challenges of university applications, IELTS, choosing the right course, building a portfolio, finding accommodation, and adapting to life in a new country.

As a mentor, I want to share my experience and help students feel more confident and prepared for their own journey.

النصيحة التي تمنيت لو سمعتها
Be kind and open to people, but remember that trust is earned, not given. Protect your boundaries, trust your instincts, and learn to rely on yourself, especially when you're far from home.
أكثر ما فاجأني في الدراسة بالخارج
What surprised me the most was how much studying abroad teaches you about yourself. You learn to be independent, make difficult decisions on your own, and realize that growing up sometimes means figuring things out without having your family around.
أصعب جزء في طلب قبولي
The hardest part was figuring out where to start and navigating the application process in different education system, from meeting the requirements to choosing the right pathway. It felt overwhelming at first, but taking it one step at a time made everything easier.
