By using Easy Reach, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in the Kingdom of Bahrain or other jurisdictions where our secure servers are located. We enforce strict contractual safeguards to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection globally.

- Identity Data: First name, last name, username, title, date of birth, and profile pictures.
- Contact Data: Billing address, email address, and telephone numbers.
- Verification Data (Mentors): University enrollment certificates, government-issued IDs, and academic transcripts required to verify your student status.
- Financial Data: Bank account and payment card details. Note: Payments are processed securely via Tap Payments. Easy Reach does not store your full credit card details on our servers.
- Transaction Data: Details about payments to and from you, and other details of mentorship sessions you have purchased or provided.
- Technical Data: Internet protocol (IP) address, login data, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system, and platform.
- Communications Data: Chat logs, video session metadata (duration, timestamps), and support ticket transcripts.
4. How We Collect Data
We use different methods to collect data from and about you, including:
- Direct Interactions: You may give us your Identity, Contact, and Financial Data by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email, or chat.
- Automated Technologies: As you interact with our website, we automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns using cookies and server logs.
- Third Parties: We may receive personal data about you from various third parties, such as analytics providers and secure payment gateways (e.g., Tap Payments).
5. How We Use Your Data
We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a Contract: Where we need to facilitate your mentorship booking, process escrow payments, or deliver support.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. However, to provide our services, we may share your data with strictly vetted third parties:
- Service Providers: IT and system administration services, including Cloudinary (for secure document and image hosting) and Tap Payments (for financial escrow and payment processing).
- Platform Users: To facilitate a booking, we share necessary profile information between the Student and Mentor. We do not share private contact details (phone/email) unless explicitly agreed upon by both parties post-booking.
- Legal Authorities: We may disclose information to law enforcement or government authorities in Bahrain or internationally if mandated by law or court order.
7. Data Security & Retention
Data Security
We have implemented robust technical and organizational measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, altered, or accessed in an unauthorized way. Sensitive identity documents provided by Mentors are encrypted and access is strictly limited to authorized verification personnel.
Data Retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for. By law, we are required to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial, and Transaction Data) for a period of up to ten years after they cease being customers for tax and legal purposes. Upon account deletion, non-essential profile data is permanently erased within 30 days.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Under both the GDPR and the Bahrain PDPL, you possess extensive rights regarding your personal data. You have the right to:
- Request Access: Receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request Correction: Have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected.
- Request Erasure: Ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us to continue processing it (the "Right to be Forgotten").
- Object to Processing: Object to processing where we rely on a legitimate interest, or where we process your data for direct marketing.
- Request Data Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data.
