How applying works

You apply directly to each university. Many private universities and branch campuses teach in English and offer foundation programmes for students who need them.

Student Pass

International students need a Student Pass. For private universities it is processed through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), usually with help from your university. Check the latest rules on the EMGS website.

Good to know

Living costs are generally lower than in Europe or North America, and a large Muslim community makes it easy to feel at home.
